An experienced player with over 200 games in Serie C where he also wore the shirts of Cesena, Monopoli and Savoia, Mercadante is an adequate reinforcement also from a tactical point of view: «Lately I have played as the left arm of the three-man defense, the role where I express myself best, so I am calm about my inclusion, also because there are many experienced players and I have already played with Zecca, Zambataro and Guiebre».

Mercadante, like midfielder Casini, is available to coach Greco for the trip to Pescara . "I'm confident about the championship, also because when a team that has done well has kept its core and made few quality additions, like Torres, it has always produced important seasons."

Meanwhile, Torres has loaned midfielder Francesco Nunziatini, 21, to Sestri Levante (same group).
