Second defeat in a row for Torres who lost 1-0 after extra time against Juventus Next Gen in Alessandria. The Sassari team was thus eliminated from the Italian Cup.

A painless defeat, given that the rossoblù's real objective is the championship and coach Greco made this clear by fielding an unprecedented Torres with many young players making their debut and only Garau and Scotto as veterans.

The match between the two teams was certainly not spectacular. At the end of the match some of the starters were gradually introduced such as Ruocco, Dametto and Fischnaller, the latter of whom came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but the Juventus goalkeeper did well to prevent the goal.

The decisive goal was scored in the 6th minute of the first extra half by Comenencia with a great right-footed shot.

Given the expenditure of energy with 120 minutes played, coach Greco's move to focus on young players and players who were making their debut was prudent: Ancona arrives at the "Vanni Sanna" on Sunday.
