"It is clear that the Committee, in fact, created an intermediate scheme between the real financiers and the candidate, in violation of the law that requires raising funds exclusively through a dedicated current account". This is one of the key passages of the 11-page note signed by the president of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari, Gemma Cucca, attached to the third report of the Electoral Guarantee Board which, on 9 July last year, had formalized seven objections to the candidate of Campo Largo, Alessandra Todde, who then - after the examination of the financial statement - was ordered to be removed from the position of regional councilor and, consequently, from that of president of the Region.
One was deemed to have been exceeded, while for the others – instead – a fine of 40 thousand euros was established and the documents were sent to the Regional Council and the Prosecutor's Office.
