No longer a reshuffle after the Budget, but now. This morning, Regional President Alessandra Todde withdrew the healthcare mandate from Armando Bartolazzi —who two days ago had spoken of a Sardinian healthcare system stuck in the 25-year-old age , of a majority focused only on chasing the positions of the local health authorities' general directors, and of a sector that would certainly not change without him—and appointed Francesco Agus as Agriculture Councilor, replacing Gian Franco Satta , who resigned almost two weeks ago.
Todde likely opted for this acceleration to avoid finding himself having to lead two departments on an interim basis. He will, in fact, retain only the Health department. But not for long, given the discontent in Campo Grande over the announced idea of an eight- or ten-month interim period. It will, however, be enough to sign off on the appointments of the directors of the health authorities who will replace the commissioners appointed under the reform, which was later challenged by the government and is pending the Constitutional Court's ruling.
The name of the next health commissioner will likely be known after the budget is approved, so in January.
