"Time in process" is the title of the review inaugurated this morning in Cagliari, at the Municipal Gallery, by the Councilor for Culture, Maria Dolores Picciau, and dedicated to the artist Giovanni Campus. An anthological exhibition - curated by Marco Meneguzzo and with 19 works on display, ranging from 1965 to 2001 - also to pay thanks to the artist's homage to the city of the homonymous sculpture.

A sort of giant "L" generously donated by Campus, built on a metal structure forged in 2018 by the master carpenters of the company of the Argiolas Brothers of Cagliari, sponsor of the sculpture together with Sardegna Marmi di Orosei, was therefore strategically placed on the border between the public gardens and the view towards the urban landscape, as if to seal the link between art and its ability to dialogue with the surrounding environment.

"This project linked to Giovanni Campus - commented the commissioner Picciau at the presentation of the double initiative, which was also attended by the artist - is divided into two events, one concerning the exhibition and the other concerning the installation of one of his works in the Public Gardens ".

"We are talking about a very important artist - continued Picciau - who, not surprisingly, tackled one of the most delicate topics such as the concept of time. The work we have placed in front of the Gallery gives us the opportunity to feed the concept of new modulation of the urban and environmental context of Cagliari ".

Hence the promise: "We want to enrich green areas and parks with many works in order to make the city an open-air museum".
