The Nacra 15 World Youth title goes to the Yacht Club Cagliari. The crew of Alice Dessy and Lorenzo Sirena (son of Max, skipper of Luna Rossa), after teamwork with Benedetta Ghiani and Luigi Zonca, prevailed in the regatta held in Riva del Garda at the end of a tight fight until the end with France. The Cagliari team managed to maintain its lead, completing a great victory and bringing to Cagliari a world title of absolute prestige, the Youth Sailing World Championship. The result also arrived thanks to the work of the two coaches, Gigi Picciau of FIV and Marcella Mamusa of YCC.

The satisfaction. «It is an immense joy to have brought a World Cup to Cagliari with these young guys», exults Luciano Randaccio, president of the Cagliari Yacht Club. «It is an achievement achieved with our own efforts, reaching these levels thanks to a great team and with the work of the children's parents: these are the components that ensure that the results arrive. Within a year, Sirena joined Nacra and became champion, this means that the club with its coaches worked well. It is a preparatory class for the 2028 Olympics, I am particularly satisfied with the fact that it brought a world title to the Yacht Club and to Cagliari. We are presidents for these things, not for anything else." Another high-level event is immediately underway for the YCC: the 58th edition of the Poetto-Cagliari-Poetto regatta takes place on Sunday, starting from Marina Piccola to the port of Cagliari and returning.
