Teachers and concert performers, violist Andrea Vassalle and pianist Silvia Bellani are the protagonists of the next appointment with “I mercoledì del Conservatorio” , on September 11th at 7 pm in Sala Sassu . Admission is free.

The program features the Märchenbilder op. 113, the four “fairy-tale pictures” written by Robert Schumann in 1851 and the Sonata in E flat major op. 120 no. 2 by Johannes Brahms from 1894, originally also written for clarinet. Less well-known but fascinating is the Sonata in F major op. 11 no. 4, composed by the German Paul Hindemith in 1919.

Since 2016 Andrea Vassalle has been regularly invited by the Orchestra on original instruments of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He has recorded for the labels Naïve, Brilliant classics, Glossa, Passacaille. He founded the Quartetto delfico, a string quartet on original instruments.

Silvia Bellani has performed in Italy, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Bulgaria, United States, Thailand for important musical institutions, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Italian Festival in Bangkok, Edinburgh Music Society, Ilams in London, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Unione musicale in Turin. She is the winner of numerous solo and piano duo awards.
