The Unione Sarda Planetarium reopens to schools . From 2 to 5 October the scientific staff presents, during the Open Week , the new program prepared for schools of all levels , an event dedicated to teachers, managers and parents.

The main mission of the Unione Sarda Planetarium is the dissemination of science and in this context schools, and in particular students, are the main subjects to which it is addressed. The Planetarium staff has created a series of educational screenings and workshops that are offered to schools to support and integrate the normal educational offer in the field of science.

The main focus of the proposed activities is centered on astronomy and astrophysics, but other topics of great scientific relevance such as climate and climate change, the origin of life on Earth and the search for other forms of life in the Universe are addressed in simple but rigorous language.

This year's news concerns the Einstein Telescope project , Black Holes and the themes of Einstein's Relativity which are proposed with the help of simulations, videos and activities that will help students understand the scientific importance of this project .

To integrate the projections there are laboratories, among which there is direct observation of the sky through a telescope , which allows you to directly observe a celestial body: Sun, Moon, Planets, Double Stars and more.

Finally, all the schools in Sardinia that have difficulty organizing an educational visit to the structure are offered the possibility of hosting the Planetarium staff at their premises, for lessons, conferences, workshops and observation of the day and night sky through the telescope.

The Open Week is held in the Planetarium headquarters, in Piazza Unione Sarda in Cagliari , the visible calendar and the programs for schools can be seen on the website www.planetariounionesarda.it
