Also present at the signing of the document were the mayors who joined the Network of Municipalities , and therefore: Buggerru (lead municipality), Arbus, Carbonia, Carloforte, Fluminimaggiore, Gonnesa, Gonnosfanadiga, Guspini, Iglesias, Musei, Narcao, Perdaxius, Portoscuso, Santadi , Tratalias, Villacidro, Villamassargia.

«It's a great day - underlined councilor Biancareddu - because another part of Sardinia's history, in particular the mining heritage with all its history, could now become a UNESCO heritage site. An immense driving force of knowledge. A heritage that also becomes a social, anthropological recognition for what was a great history of workers, human history, a history of a massacre and therefore everything connected to the world of mining work. Now a dossier will be made to include it in the UNESCO list and to begin a not easy path which, however, with the subsidy, the patronage and also with the financing, if possible, of the Region, we will try to carry forward to obtain this prestigious result. I wanted to remind you that the Domus de Janas, as well as the Nuragic heritage, are also in the process of getting this recognition."
