The moment in which it was closest to Earth has now passed for two days, on Saturday 12, but the “autumn comet” (full name C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas) continues to show itself in the sky above Cagliari and Sardinia. It happened again today, around 8 pm, for a show that will not have many other repetitions and that – for this reason – is of considerable interest to all enthusiasts.

Its tail is very long: about ten to twenty times the moon, which is why it is visible to the naked eye or with binoculars. Discovered in early 2023, the comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas will still be visible for a few days albeit in a lesser way , because as the days pass it will move further away from Earth. And it will no longer pass into our Solar System, making this event without further repeats.
