The curtain rises at the Andrea Parodi theater in Porto Torres where, on Saturday 27 January at 9pm, the "La Camera Chiara" association is organizing a special event for Remembrance Day. The show “For Anne Frank” by the company The Barrel and the Top Hat is on stage.

The performance is a free adaptation of Anne Frank's biography starting from her fourteenth birthday, on the occasion of which the girl was given what later became the famous "diary". In the staging, after the moments of lightheartedness, the spectators are projected into the secret annex: “Het Aachterhuis” (the title of the book he would write, taken from his diary), where they took refuge to escape Nazi persecution Anne, family members and other friends, living literally segregated. In a very short time, Anne matures the experience of love, the awareness of the transformation of her body and the conflict with her parents but above all the ability to observe life and history with the eyes and hearts of the great authors of literature. But the secret refuge is discovered and the inhabitants arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps: from this moment on, Anne will no longer write.

The show was written and directed by Pier Paolo Conconi. On stage: Luisella Conti, Margherita Lavosi, Consuelo Pittalis and Roberta Solinas. Sound engineer Michele Grandi, lighting designer Paolo Palitta. The costumes are by Luisella Conti and the original music by Bertas with the voices of Mario Chessa, Maria Rosaria Soro and Enrica Virdis. The show uses different languages, from song, to music, to choreography, without forgetting the word, with great attention to the rhythmic game: Anne appears and disappears with poetic coherence but within a very free and bold frame.
