Four squares that will turn into open-air dance halls to celebrate the new year : piazza Santa Caterina, piazza Moretti, piazza Madonna del Latte Dolce and piazza Sant'Antonio. To greet 2023, the Municipality of Sassari focuses on an alternative to the concerts of nearby cities such as Alghero. The city dance schools will enliven the party . "Latin American dances and group dances" anticipated the Councilor for Culture Laura Useri who drew up the Christmas and year-end program together with her colleague in Productive Activities Alessandra Corda .

Illuminations and events also for children in the calendar which for one month (from 2 December to 7 January) goes under the slogan " Sassari wears Christmas ".

The light installations in the squares are back and the former Hotel Turritania in Piazza Sant'Antonio and a private building near the church of Santa Maria di Betlem are added to the list. Five luminous trees, 5 meters high and made with metal structures will be positioned in piazza Castello, in via Brigata Sassari, in piazza Tola, in piazza Cuore Immacolato and in piazza Madonna del Latte Dolce.

Santa Claus' house moves to Piazza Fiume, while large luminous paintings with works on the Nativity will be installed in the Public Gardens and children will be involved in educational workshops.

The Sassarese tradition will be honored with the parades of Santa Claus accompanied by gobbule from 21 to 23 December with departures from Piazza Sant'Antonio and Piazza Kennedy.
