The Regional Council and Health Commission are in turmoil, with Todde failing to show up.
These are difficult times for the center-left coalition: repeated absences are causing a quorum to fail. The opposition is united: "The President has been distrusted by his majority."Servizio di Stefano Fioretti
Campo largo is dancing , experiencing its most difficult hours since the beginning of the legislature. And it's not a dance of peace. In the Regional Council , a quorum was lacking both morning and evening . In the end, everything was postponed until further notice. Things didn't go any better in the Health Committee, where the session never even began: Alessandra Todde, making her first appearance as Health Minister and therefore summoned , was supposed to take part in the proceedings, but the chairwoman did not show up. Only the call to the parliament that deals with the Budget was arranged, with the regular hearing of Councilor Giuseppe Meloni on the Budget.
In the Chamber, the empty benches have been marking time since morning. The "dismissal" of Armando Bartolazzi hasn't calmed spirits. Nor is the Egas affair, with the Todde-center-right agreement on Fabio Albieri 's reappointment as president, albeit for a limited period, calming spirits .
In the building on Via Roma, before the "everyone stay home" order, absences caused work to be interrupted four times. " This day will be remembered as the Black Wednesday of the 17th legislature ," said Fausto Piga , deputy group leader of the FdI group. "The Regional Council was suspended four times, postponed three times, and then finally cancelled due to too many absences from the majority, which prevented a quorum from being reached." The Forza Italia group also reacted angrily: "We find ourselves forced, with growing alarm and bitterness, to publicly denounce an institutional anomaly that risks becoming commonplace and, in its persistence, reveals the fragility of this supposed 'broad majority.' Today, December 10th," a statement reads, "the Regional Council's work had to be suspended four consecutive times due to a lack of a quorum. These are not isolated incidents: the 'new' coalition is unable to guarantee attendance." Events of this magnitude have never occurred in recent years, not even in the previous legislature."
Regarding Todde's absence from the Health Committee , the opposition sent a joint statement and read the following about the meeting, which was cancelled due to the lack of a quorum: " The president has been ousted by her own majority . There is no quorum in the Health Committee for her first hearing, to discuss reducing waiting lists, an issue on which" the governor "has declared at every opportunity that she would put her face forward. Instead, the meeting never even began, preventing an essential discussion for the protection of Sardinian citizens."
