From today, the Board of Directors of the consortium created to administer the funds (120 million) that will arrive thanks to the Pnrr is a quartet.

These are those earned with the e.INS - Ecosystem of Innovation for Next Generation Sardinia project presented by the University of Sassari . The Board of Directors also includes the University of Cagliari, the Banco di Sardegna and from today the Region of Sardinia, because the governor Christian Solinas brought the documentation and signed.

The Sardinian governor said in the meeting that was held in the Aula Magna of Sassari: “We are in favor of the formation of a system that brings together public and private, with the two universities training staff according to the needs of Sardinia. We need to fill a chronic insufficiency of the health system , to develop tourism and culture, to have precision and innovation in agriculture where we need to go back to producing wheat ”.

Rector Gavino Mariotti added: “The project has started, the spokes are selecting the staff and 10% of the funding will arrive by the end of the month . Furthermore, as the University of Sassari we are also in other spokes that have won the Pnrr tenders. Our university wants to give concrete answers to the territory by forming the required professional skills ".

Ten areas of intervention of the project : Medicine, Tourism and Culture, Agriculture and Livestock, Finance and credit to local businesses, Aerospace, Energy, Digital Innovation, Mobility, Environmental Heritage, Biopharmacology.

Also present at the meeting was Giuseppe Cuccurese, general manager of Banco di Sardegna and president of the new board of directors of the company that oversees the Hub.
