The "lords of the wind" win the island, from Oristano to Limbara
Major maneuvers have begun to open the passages for the wind invasion: from the Oristano port towards the entire islandPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Undisturbed, like in no man's land. From north to south, from the slopes of Limbara, the highest of the Gallura mountains, to the streets of Oristano. They disembowel mountains, erase traffic islands, destroy road signs, raze oak trees and power lines to the ground. The barbaric wave of renewable businesses in the land of Sardinia knows no respite. The lords of the wind and solar lobbies remain indifferent to useless legislative provisions, incapable of even blocking the advance of bulldozers along the road.
Sardinian Klondike
The race for the "Sardinian Klondike ", that of the wind and the sun, proceeds with blows of mechanical shovels, as if the potentates of the companies landed in Sardinia to win the prize money of the state incentives were in a hurry to turn the island upside down. They are not worried about the rules that the Regional Council is about to pass next week, they perceive their ineffectiveness and their perspective as limited to a few months. Rather, they aim to hurry up before others to grab the mountain of money that Europe and Italy are putting on the table for the green era, that of great financial and economic speculation. The island's El Dorado seems destined to suffer the most consistent attack, both due to the institutions' repeated waste of time and the evident subordination to the Roman Palaces, those of Government and power. Since yesterday the large land maneuvers for the new wave of wind turbines in Sardinia have begun, without hesitation, with the impact force of those who "if you don't move, they will move you", with good or bad manners.
First gate "broken"
The first passage close to the Port of Oristano is open, badly "broken down" by bulldozers that have torn up junctions and any disturbance for the transport of the largest wind turbines ever to reach Sardinia, all as befits the worst military occupations. In recent days, the large cylinders that form the base of the gigantic propellers to be placed on those steel skyscrapers over 200 meters high had set off from the Oristano airport towards Villacidro and Domusnovas. Now it's the turn of the more complex transport, the less discreet one, given that those aerial blades will have to cross inhabited centers and not just to reach their destination. For this reason, an operation began on Monday which involves dismantling every obstacle to the transit of those giant shovels on Sardinian roads. The passage is crucial: having granted authorizations for the passage of special vehicles, one hundred meters long, effectively constitutes a green light to use the Port of Oristano as a strategic crossroads for the landing of wind turbines on the island.
New wind crossroads
If until now the crossroads between Santa Giusta and the main road towards Arborea, up to Villacidro, was forbidden, now it will be permanently destined for the transit of those vehicles towards the south and north of the island. For now it is a Spanish passage into Sardinian land given that, last 22 April, the "Uhl Frontier", a wind-powered cargo ship flying the Portuguese flag, docked at the central port of the island, arriving in Oristano from "Puerto de la Luz”, a branch of the Canary Islands, between Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
The Vestas street
A landing that had immediately made it clear that at that moment the "way of the wind" was opening up between the first of the European potentates dedicated to the occupation of Sardinia, the Danish Vestas with a factory in Spain which produces wind turbines throughout the world. The chosen port is the one that has won, for now, the competition with all the others, the most central and discreet, circumspect and marginal, in theory outside the commercial games of the Isle of the Sea. The start of work to dismantle roads, traffic islands and any disturbance to the transit of those propellers constitutes an unmistakable signal that "phase two", that of landing on dry land, can begin.
Saturated port
The square of the Port of Oristano, as can be seen from the aerial photos we are publishing, is totally dedicated to that load of wind turbines. Today it would be impossible to get more, but it is clear that, once those that have been stationed in the Oristano airport for almost three months have been distributed, the flow will be continuous, despite the apparent ban on building new wind turbines on the island. The scenario is obvious: once the roads and obstacles around the port, towards the main access routes for the wind hinterland, have been dismantled, time and money will not be wasted for the immediate restoration since the opportunity will be taken to maintain the continuous flow towards those construction sites that await the "air slicers" to activate the "money pipeline" between the State and the private coffers of the lobbies and speculators on duty. A scenario that will be multiplied in all directions: the demolition of the Santa Giusta and Arborea intersections, as we had announced in a previous investigation, is only the beginning given that those wind turbines will not even be able to pass under most of the overpasses of the main road arteries of the island, both the 131 and the other provincial connections. Bypasses will be necessary with interventions that only bulldozers and excavators can allow, devastating every transit route.
The "military force" is ready
Even in this case, it cannot be ruled out that the State will once again implement the usual "military force", perhaps forcing Mayors and Provincial Commissioners to sign similar ordinances to dismantle provincial and rural roads and urban transit. It is, therefore, an opening that instead of remaining closed, will be opened with impunity precisely because of the ongoing dispute with the Island.
The Limbara front
Added to all this is a new front of attack: the speculative lobbies have targeted the extraordinary landscape of the Limbara, the mountain massif in north-eastern Sardinia, in the municipalities of Tempio Pausania, Calangianus, Oschiri and Berchidda. A cyclopean granite monument that connects northern Gallura with Logudoro. The disfigurement of that American base on the tops of that mountain, forgotten by time and men, was not enough, now a new side opens up, that of the slopes of the "great mountain". The images we are publishing are irrefutable proof of a real devastation that is taking place in one of the areas of greatest environmental and naturalistic value on the entire mountain side.
Oak trees uprooted
The excavators and bulldozers are literally knocking out the "roots" of imposing oak trees which, as can be seen from the photos, were evidently disturbing the esplanade that is intended to be built to place yet another expanse of photovoltaic panels in that area, again from China. It is impossible to know whether that devastation of oak trees was authorized and by whom, but there is certainly clear evidence of what is happening in that area between Calangianus and Tempio, in the "Li tre funtani" area. Same attack in the "Bonvicino" areas and on the road between Tempio and Oschiri. The raid on the land of Gallura does not stop, yet another on the island at the mercy of lobbies and speculators.
