The rift of FdI is lacerating. The words used in the note from the regional coordinator, Senator Antonella Zedda, resonate not only as an attempt to block the candidacy, but also as a rejection of the Solinas Council. Antonio Moro, president of the Psd'Az, the governor's party, puts on his helmet and goes on the attack: «The Psd'Az has paid a very high political price to win the challenge of the island's government», says Moro, « allocating the best energies to the coalition's program and project. Our managers are ready to discuss and discuss with everyone. They are proud of what the Psd'Az represents and will never accept being pushed around just because the seats in Trento don't add up."

What doesn't add up on the island?

«Fratelli d'Italia in Sardinia has followed the diktat of its Italian leaders, aimed at creating a strong opposition to the League in the dynamics of regional alliances, as a consequence of the frictions that are occurring in Trentino or Palermo in these hours. For the Psd'Az it is unacceptable that Sardinia could turn into a ground of retaliation for unresolved issues of seats in the very respectable autonomous province of Trento".

Does FdI's rift risk creating an irreparable fracture in the coalition?

«As Sardinians we believe we are doing the good of Sardinia by working to safeguard the unity of the civic and Sardinian centre-right coalition, the only one that can present itself as a winner. We respond to the criticism of the FdI coordinator with politics and not with judgments on people or with the list of complaints at the end of the legislature."

Zedda announces the convening of a Sardinian table.

«The President of the Region has the right to convene the coalitions that govern, ever since the beginning of the world. Then everyone is free to convene futuristic tables of other hypothetical coalitions, assuming the political responsibilities".

Does the no to Solinas encore or Paolo Truzzu's appearance on the field bother you more?

«The ways in which FdI operates, more than Solinas bis, threaten even the idea of preparing for take-off of the Truzzu one in the bud».

Yet a designation of the mayor of Cagliari has been in the air for some time.

«Truzzu, with intelligence and common sense, expressed his legitimate willingness to run as a candidate, subordinating it to the stability of the civic and Sardinian centre-right coalition. The disagreement of the coordinator of the party to which Truzzu belongs seems to me to call into question the political elements underlying the mayor's expressed willingness to run as a candidate".

Will you at least see Truzzu bis at the helm of the Municipality of Cagliari?

«I think it is correct that the mayor can find the comfort of the people of Cagliari who, through possible consensus, will be able to certify the goodness of his administration. But also projects which, in his opinion, have made, or rather would make, if implemented, Cagliari a better city."

So do you reject Zedda's invitation to "step aside"?

«The actions of the Sardinians are decided by the Psd'Az. The FdI coordinator can instead choose the pace with which the militants in her party march."

So are you ready to leave the center-right?

«The Sardinian centre-right either has the Sardinians as allies or it doesn't. It becomes something else, which in Sardinia has never been rewarded by the voters."

Do you confirm the alliance with the League?

«The alliance with the League has never been in question. It is a programmatic and strategic agreement between the oldest European federalist party, the Psd'Az, and the largest federalist party in Italy, the League".

Is it risky to think that Psd'Az can look the other way?

«Look at the five-star camp? I feel like excluding it. In any case, the Sardinians, for more than twenty years now, have only stipulated programmatic agreements and have always shown that they have a free hand when it comes to alliances."

Is there any possibility that Psd'Az has the courage to present itself?

«The Psd'Az has its symbol, its values, its flag and its centuries-old history. No Sardinian can be afraid to stand alone with the Quattro Mori in the elections, because they have been our true strength for more than a hundred years."
