Ultimately, the island's ambassadors are all the Sardinian emigrants who keep the identity and cultural tradition alive. A poem became a song and therefore an animated video , which the Maria Carta Foundation dedicates to the world of Sardinian emigration. It is called “ Ambasciadores de Sardigna ”. The verses are taken from the composition "Intragnas" by an emigrant to Trieste, Angelo Curreli, originally from Lodè .

The music was composed by Gino Marielli of Tazenda and the song is performed by Maria Giovanna Cherchi . The song features Andrea Pisu on launeddas, Vanni Masala on accordion, Federico Fresi on electric guitar, Gabriele Oggiano on keyboards and programming, Fabio Useli on bass and Marielli himself on backing vocals and acoustic guitar.

In the animated video, edited by Gaetano Garau , a female figure (inspired by Maria Carta) travels by sea or by plane crossing the locations of Italy and the world, identified with their best-known monuments.

The creation of the song, born from an idea by Leonardo Marras, president of the Maria Carta Foundation, represents, as mentioned, a new act of gratitude from the Foundation to the Sardinian emigrants.

«With this composition – explains Marras – we also want to remember the 90 years since the birth and the 30 years since the death of the great artist from Siligo, always close to emigrants and herself a Sardinian traveller, who brought our music and our culture to the world with passion and great pride."
