Preparations and rehearsals are in full swing for the young talents of the "Benedetto Croce" high school in Oristano ready to leave for Verona to participate in the national competition "Schools in music" , an event organized by the Cultural Association "Talent Music School" under the patronage of the Department of Youth Policies of the Municipality of Verona and the artistic direction of Ilaria Loatelli.
This year the competition will take place in two ways: online and in presence and from the examination of the videos sent from all over Italy, an excellent first result has arrived for the island school .
Daniele Sogus , from the 3rd A class of the section of the Liceo Musicale of the Oristano Institute directed by Salvatore Maresca, prepared by Cinzia Casu, piano teacher, participated remotely, winning the 1st prize with a score of 95 points: this extraordinary result, "obtained - explained the teacher - after many additional hours of study and great sacrifices for the preparation of a very demanding repertoire", places Sardinia among the protagonist regions.
A first important success that "bodes well - hopes the manager - because this year too our students, who will participate in the presence, can distinguish themselves by achieving good results".
Next week we will know the placings in the other categories in the competition.
