Lions and lionesses in the fiery sunset of the Savannah, the wide eyes of the Indri lemur of Madagascar, the multicolored head of the large sea duck, known as the king of the eiders. Naturalistic photos that project the viewer into remote but also closer places with animal species of sublime beauty. The success with over 1300 visits in a few days has convinced us to extend the nature photography exhibition "La Grande Meraviglia" by Giuseppe Cuneo, hosted in the Sala Duce of Palazzo Ducale, until February 17th.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Municipality of Sassari, is an invitation to celebrate and preserve the Great Wonder of Nature. It represents a journey to discover and learn about the great wonders encountered, experienced and immortalized in the shots of photographer Giuseppe Cuneo during his naturalistic travels around the world, carried out over the last ten years. The images were taken in Italy, Norway, Scotland, Portugal, Japan, Texas, Louisiana, Madagascar, Kenya, Botswana and Ethiopia.

From Sardinia to Norway, from Japan to Texas and then reaching Africa, one encounters fascinating animal species, breathtaking landscapes and details of abstract nature, in an immersive journey that accompanies the visitor to remote and uncontaminated places with the exhortation of the photographer « to a reflection on what we risk losing due to our senseless behavior. Let's try to get excited and appreciate beauty because only in this way will we be able to protect it!

The photography exhibition, with free admission, can be visited on Fridays from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 7pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
