The “Passegg…Giare in Marmilla” initiative starts on Sunday, the latest idea of the Due Giare Consortium, with the support and technical coordination of Sardegna Trail and the support of the Pro loco and local associations. There are five itineraries, to discover the thirteen towns of the Due Giare Consortium, including historic centres, necropolises, menhirs, ancient olive trees, traditions and identity of the territory.

The first stage between Baressa, Baradili and Sini. «Once again - comments the president of the Due Giare Consortium, Lino Zedda - as had already happened for the launch of the downloadable App that tells the story of our towns, the very name of the event recalls the territory. An internal area with a diversified heritage made up of environment, history, traditions and archaeology." A total of 5 itineraries among the 13 countries of the consortium, on routes suitable for anyone. «They are all technically very simple routes - explains Gianni Mureddu of Sardegna Trail - suitable for everyone. Walks in the open air, specifically designed to visit and discover the area."

The start on Sunday: at 8.30 the meeting point for the participants will be in the area of the Millenary Olive Tree of Sini; followed by the shuttle transfer to Baressa, where the walk will start from the headquarters of the Due Giare Consortium during which you will be able to taste local products and admire thousand-year-old olive and almond trees, in Baressa, the historic center and the Pinocchio exhibition, in Baradili and in Sini the thousand-year-old olive tree. A route 11 kilometers long, with a height difference of 150 metres.

The other stages will be completed in the next few weeks. On Sunday 10 March it will be the turn of Pompu, Curcuris and Gonnosnò; seven days later, on the way between Villa Verde Usellus and Albagiara. Sunday 7 April appointment in Assolo, Nureci and Senis; closing on April 14th with a circular tour in the area of Villa Sant'Antonio.
