A trade fair event dedicated to boating, an important and driving sector for the Sardinian economy and a prestigious component of the island's tourism chain.

It is a reference regional show, which arrived in Olbia with the aim of "triggering development and promotion processes in the entire regional territory, proposing the island as a single nautical destination".
Thus the president of the Region, Christian Solinas , presented the "Sardinia Nautical Fair" , an appointment promoted by the regional councilor for Tourism, Crafts and Commerce and by Cipnes Gallura (North East Provincial Industrial Consortium), which takes place in the tourist port of Olbia from today until April 26th. The event is part of the "Sardinia discovery journey" project, included in the broader regional marketing program "Insula - Sardinia quality world".

"This event, which has been awaited for years, will help to enhance and develop the nautical industry sector in Sardinia, as well as to intercept the target of nautical and recreational tourism , already widespread on the island, but which, with valid trade fair support, will be able to to establish itself more internationally, conveying Sardinia to the world with imaginable economic advantages ", added President Solinas.

"PRESTIGIOUS APPOINTMENT" - "For the Region, this event must become a prestigious annual appointment, with national and international repercussions - the words of the Tourism Councilor, Gianni Chessa - Thanks also to the presence of the major players in the sector (regional companies , national and international), to the space dedicated to the meeting between supply and demand and to the involvement of the entire nautical supply chain, from production to services, up to training. We want to concretely grow nautical tourism in Sardinia, promoting it as an ideal location for a nautical center in the center of the Mediterranean, also in consideration of the fact that it is a tourist segment with a large spending capacity and capable of promoting our image everywhere. THE FAIR - In the vast area of the event there are over 80 stands of the operators and as many berths set up along the quays of the tourist port. On the stage destined for the scheduled debates there will also be artistic and cultural events linked to tradition (music, fashion, dance) and a large screen where multi-thematic films on the “destination Sardinia” will be projected. Finally, an area for food and wine promotion activities.

On the occasion of the inauguration, the regional councilor for public works, Aldo Salaris , recalled that "the regional plan of the tourist port network, which we are working on, aims to complete the Sardinian network, thus transforming the 'Island in a privileged destination for pleasure boating, by virtue of its strategic position in the center of the western Mediterranean basin, the environmental value of the coast and the hinterland, the quality of the port facilities and services offered. excellence also in this sector ".
