Miss Bolivia 2022 , the 23-year- old María Fernanda Pavisic also discovered it, who with a decision - which has few precedents in the history of beauty contests - saw the title withdrawn which ensured her a direct pass to Miss Universe 2023.

The reasons arise on the Net: the girl allegedly ridiculed the physiques of some of her "rivals" in a video , in particular that of the "indigenous" Miss of the Potosì department, Ximena Maygua. A "bully" attitude that cost her the crown.

The decision to strip her of the title was taken yesterday by Promociones Gloria , the company that owns the beauty pageant franchise in Bolivia.

The now ex-Bolivian queen thus received a "letter of dismissal" in which she communicated that with her behavior " she violated the contract signed to participate in the Miss Bolivia contest".

After the offending video ended up on the Net, the Potosi authorities filed a complaint in court against the 23-year-old for racial discrimination, asking the judge to order the loss of the title.

Pavisic replied with an apology and saying that the video was simply " an experiment in social communication" .

However, Promociones Gloria has not changed her mind: the decision remains and the girl will not be able to enter the Miss Universe 2023 contest .
