The organic lamb with the IGP brand of Sardinia has officially arrived, presented in recent days at the “Tuttofood” in Milan.

The collaboration between the Consortium for the Protection of the IGP Sardinian Lamb and the Sardinian Organic District is thus strengthened thanks to the product of the Sardinian tradition that drives the market of branded meats in Italy and Europe: a "union of intent" that has taken shape and space within the Milanese trade fair dedicated to food, among the most important in the world.

"At pavilion 18, stand 17, thanks to the contribution of Masaf for the promotion of organic districts, - explains a note issued after the event - it was possible to take a culinary journey through the organic excellence of Sardinia that for the occasion accompanied dishes based on the prized meat . In the kitchen, the farmer chef Antonio Demontis, from the Su Recreu farm in Ittiri . Representing the Organic District was the president Andrea Campurra, while for Contas the director and president, namely Alessandro Mazzette and Battista Cualbu".

"It was an important opportunity for the District - explains Andrea Campurra, president of the Sardinia Bio Organic District - to present itself, together with the companies that compose it, in an international context that can open important outlets in foreign markets. With the funds made available by the Ministry for organic, we are working to promote organic and the excellence of Sardinia's agri-food".

The official debut of the organic IGP lamb of Sardinia is a new challenge for Sardinian producers who, by bringing a certified organic product to the market, will make available to consumers a product that responds to ever-growing market segments that are attentive to sustainability.

"The Igp Lamb meat of Sardinia, thanks to the great promotional work continues to grow in sales, for this reason participating in TuttoFood 2025 - comments Battista Cualbu - means continuing on a path already traced and that brings excellent results. We bring our commitment and our tradition to an international stage" .

"This was the opportunity to tell the high value of sustainability and the organic supply chain - explains Alessandro Mazzette - demonstrating how innovation can coexist with tradition to offer authentic and healthy products".

The joint presence of the Consortium and the Sardegna Bio District at TuttoFood 2025 was accompanied by tastings, meetings with industry experts and initiatives aimed at promoting Sardinian products on a global scale . An initiative that preceded by a few hours the participation of the consortium for the protection of the Agnello di Sardegna PGI at the other major trade fair that was inaugurated in Rimini: Macfruit 2025 , one of the most important fairs dedicated to fruit and vegetables at European level, characterized this year by the message "Health comes from eating and fruit and vegetables are the basis of healthy eating".
