Ceremony this morning, at the University of Cagliari, of the recognition in memory of Hadi Zaraket for his studies in Mechanical Engineering.

The student, born in Lebanon and enrolled in the degree course in Mechanical Engineering, suddenly passed away on 8 April, at the age of 23, due to a heart problem.

The rector of the university, Francesco Mola, delivered the parchment to his brother Hassan, who spoke at the graduation session chaired by Mohamad El Mehtedi, in the presence of the president of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Daniele Cocco and the director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, chemistry and materials Antonio Baldi.

The title was awarded following the request of the student representatives, which met with the unanimous approval of the academic bodies.

"Students are not numbers - explained Mola - despite the fact that for some years the system has tended to consider them as such. But for us they are people who are part of our community: for this I thank the colleagues who organized this moment. Hadi she was a young promise: today there is the heart of each of us here to remember him ".

Antonio Baldi, director of the Department of Mechanical, Chemical and Materials Engineering, added that "Hadi's death shocked everyone, ours is truly a community and we all know each other. This is why it seemed right to organize a moment like this". "We are a community - President Cocco remarked - today we try to join Hadi's family and to feel him forever as a member of our big family".

A dozen of Hadi's friends, some of his compatriots, were present in the Aula Magna.
