Second stop on the island for The Jazz Club Network 2022, an original musical journey organized by CeDAC / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Entertainment in Sardinia in collaboration with Sardegna Concerti.

After the swing of the trio led by the American pianist Danny Grissett, it is the turn of the Venezuelan drummer Pancho Montañez, born in 1978, to animate the next evenings of the three jazz clubs around Sardinia.

Montañez will take the stage together with his quartet tonight, Thursday 3 March, at the Vecchio Mulino in Sassari (at 9pm), tomorrow at the Poco Loco in Alghero at the same time and Saturday at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari starting at 10.30pm.

A real tour, from the north to the south of the island, for the drummer who for ten years has chosen to live in Valencia in Spain.

Studied at Berklee College of Music-Valencia Campus, Pancho Montañez throughout his career has had the opportunity to share stages with artists of the stature of Jorge Pardo, Olga Román or Perico Sambeat.

The project he takes to stage on the island is called "Yeya" and takes its name from an album, his second record production, which sees the participation of famous musicians, from Daniels Orts on the piano, Santiago Peláez on the guitar and Ricardo Osorno on the double bass / electric bass. An artistic work that explores the musical tones of his native Venezuela, playing with the colors of the deep Mediterranean and the original world of African American drums.

An album full of intricate rhythms, textures of colors and melodies that contribute to the combination of the band members' musical experiences and contexts.

The reinforced green pass and the mask are mandatory to attend all concerts.
