The Government "rewrites" the Pnrr by cutting almost 16 billion euros destined for Municipalities and hydrogeological instability and the alarm goes off in Sardinia too.

After the decision in Rome, the regional councilor for local authorities Aldo Salaris met Minister Raffaele Fitto in the capital on his own to "complain about the fact that the island centers have been heavily penalized , in particular by the cuts that have been made in the tenders for the Pnrr, calibrated on the large Municipalities ».

The problem, specifies the commissioner, specifically concerns the funds for urban regeneration, which will be disbursed to municipalities with over 10,000 inhabitants.

"I pointed out to the minister that out of 377 municipalities on the island, 250 have fewer than 10,000 inhabitants," Salaris underlined.

The solution identified by Fitto seems to be that of scrolling through the rankings: «He assured me that he will see to scrolling through the rankings as much as possible - reported the commissioner -, but for this we have to wait until the last ten days of September or the first October to understand the extent of this remodeling. And if it is not possible to use Pnrr funds, he will undertake to look for complementary sources ».

"The theme of urban regeneration is fundamental - concluded the councilor of Sardinia - it is a theme on which the regions are investing a lot and on which Europe is aiming, but we have received little so far".

ANCI – «We are on the one hand surprised and on the other absolutely opposed to this auction, remodulation and transfer of funding from the Pnrr: on the one hand they remove the resources from budget items that were intended for the Municipalities, around 16 billion, and on the other hand, they are cutting back on territorial health care», comments the president of Anci Sardinia, Emiliano Deiana on the other hand about the cut and removal of the funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan intended for the Municipalities.

"What's even worse is that the government ensures that nothing will be lost - he continues - but the new budget items are moved to FSC funds, i.e. those of development and cohesion". Furthermore, underlines the regional president of the Anci, "the money of the new 21-27 programming is being tied up on purposes and on territories that were not the original ones, but what is even more serious is that most of the 16 billion are taken away from the works of hydrogeological risk mitigation: if we don't do the works we are putting the lives of citizens at risk".

"Instead of helping the Municipalities to have more personnel or technical assistance to manage the tenders, the government decides to cut resources: it is a serious mistake", concludes Deiana.
