The government has challenged the budget adjustment law approved by the Regional Council in September: this is the seventh law of the Todde era to end up before the Constitutional Court by decision of the Council of Ministers.

A statement from Palazzo Chigi states that the decision, at the instigation of Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Roberto Calderoli, was adopted "because certain provisions, exceeding statutory powers and conflicting with state legislation regarding access to public employment and collective bargaining, violate the principles of equality, impartiality, and proper functioning of public administration, as set out in Articles 3 and 97 of the Constitution, as well as Article 117, paragraph 2, letter l) of the Constitution."

According to rumors, the focus is on measures in the Social Policies sector related to the REIS and some steps related to personnel management.
