Double-digit growth for Sardinian ports, where passenger traffic in 2022 increased by 21% compared to the previous year , with a volume of goods handled which remains substantially stable.

More passengers means more money: current revenues record an absolute value of just over 63 million and 619 thousand euros, over 13 million more than in 2021 (+26.5%) . The same growth ratio also for outgoings, which rise by 8.9% compared to 2021, equal to just over 30 million and 400 thousand euros.

"Data that are the economic and statistical representation of a port system in strong growth, capable of tracing the crisis and exceeding the record numbers of 2019, both from a financial and traffic point of view - explains Massimo Deiana, president of the AdSP of the Sardinian Sea -. There are numerous results achieved in 2022, starting from the acceleration of spending for the infrastructure of airports, from the start of planning for the spending of Pnrr funds, up to the completion of a large part of the process of digitization of procedures which will continue also during 2023".

The numbers emerge from the approval of the annual report and the general report of the AdSP of the Sardinian Sea .

These are the two most important points of the twelve on the agenda at this morning's meeting of the Management Committee. Green light also to the order that introduces the transitional provisions for the release or renewal of the maritime state concessions for the port of Arbatax pending the strategic planning document of the system and the consequent port master plan. Also for the Ogliastra port of call, the last one included in the AdSP district, the Management Committee approved the regulation governing the handling and storage of conventional and bulk goods in the port areas .

Further topic, the change to the list of digitized procedures in the Single Administrative Desk . In fact, with the new regulation, the background check activities are added to the state-owned and port work practices, ie the issue of access and identification cards for port areas subject to the provisions of the National Maritime Safety Plan.
