The natural intelligence of Johan Sebastian Bach capable of surprising mathematical calculations in music, composed the “Goldberg Variations” between 1741 and 1745. In the 20th century, several artists relaunched them, including the brilliant Canadian pianist Glenn Gould. On Saturday at the Sassari Conservatory, you can listen to them performed on the original instrument: the harpsichord.

The appointment in Sala Sassu at 7 pm (free admission) is with the Romanian Cipriana Smarandescu for the International Festival of Ancient Music “Note Senza Tempo ”, on the occasion of World Music Day.

Cipriana Smarandescu, founding member of the ensemble “Dolci Accenti” and founder of both the ensemble “aliusmodum” and AYHA together with Andrea Riderelli, is a very talented harpsichordist, winner of numerous competitions.
