“The attack on the Ingurtosu Mine Management Building - The Carabinieri's investigations” is the historical text written by Carabinieri Marshal Gianluca Passalacqua awarded in Porto Ercole (Grosseto).

The text retraces the events of Ingurtosu 75 years after the event, when the carabiniere Giulio Speranza and the guard Vincenzo Caddeo were killed during the raid by a group of criminals who, armed, wanted to steal the money intended for the miners' wages.

Passalacqua, on duty at the Pabillonis station, reconstructs not only the facts but also the investigations conducted by the force which then led to the capture of those responsible.

In Porto Ercole the jury of the Argentario 2023 literary competition and Caravaggio Prize judged the historical work worthy of honorable mention.

The marshal explained that he wanted to dedicate the recognition to Giulio Speranza , "who inspired me in the choice to wear our prestigious uniform, and to all the colleagues who fell in the performance of their duty".
