Dinamo is preparing for its first friendly match: Saturday at the PalaElachem in Vigevano (kick-off at 8:30 PM) against the hosts, newly promoted to Serie A2, for the "Trofeo Rotary Lomellina." Point guard Kajami-Keane will be absent, playing for the Canadian national team, and small forward Joonas Riisma, who is playing for the Estonian national team.
Coach Luca Vitali sums up the situation: "The tests are starting, and we don't want to overwork the players. We've set playing time specifically to avoid overexerting the players. In the friendlies, we want to fine-tune what we've learned in training."
The white-and-blue coach previews the game plan : "The players need to be independent on the pitch. They have my trust, but they also need the right tools to express their talent. Our system involves reading the game based on the defense."
Coach Vitali is pleased with the group: "There are hierarchies, but this team can have different players every game. What makes me happy is that I already see a good connection between the guys and a great deal of enjoyment in passing the ball, and that can be fun for everyone who watches us play."
