The digitization of Emilio Lussu's archive: «An extraordinary heritage soon available to all»
Letters and manuscripts, some unpublished, of a predominantly political nature, which reflect the human and intellectual experience of the authorThe papers of the Emilio Lussu archive will soon be available to anyone who wants to delve deeper into many aspects of his thought and his action between fronts and frontiers. In fact, a digitization work is underway under the aegis of the Archival Superintendence of Sardinia led by Monica Grossi .
Under the lens an extraordinary heritage with letters and manuscripts , some unpublished, of a predominantly political nature, which reflect the human and intellectual experience of the author of “March on Rome and surroundings”. The same archive superintendency with the collaboration of the State Archives, the municipality of Armungia, Casa Lussu, the Sardinian Institute for the history of the Resistance and autonomy (for many years custodian of the documents) have decided to join forces.
"We have created a legacy community made up of institutions, public bodies, associations, the research world and citizens who come together around common values", explains Tommaso Lussu (Emilio's grandson). "We expect - adds Monica Grossi - to present the first results of the work at the beginning of 2025".
