The Democratic Party carries on, no second thoughts about Alessandra Todde : « She is our candidate, we chose her through a democratic method which is that of politics », reiterates the secretary of the Sardinian Dems Piero Comandini in the aftermath of yet another failed attempt at dialogue between the two pieces of the center-left in view of the 2024 regional elections.

The clarification during the press conference to present the Unity celebration in Cagliari in which Todde herself will also participate, as well as the secretary Elly Schlein.

«No closure towards Rento Soru or others, neither with regards to the presence at the Unity party nor for other moments of discussion that can be built on other occasions», continues Comandini. Then another message to Soru: " The discussion must be on the program (and not on the names, ed.), we cannot give gifts to the right ."

The dem secretary also asks Soru not to be wary of M5s: " The Democratic Party was the first to be wary, but in recent years with Conte it has transformed into a real party ." The alliance, Comandini reiterates, "is imposed on us by the electoral system, but also by the fact that the Five Star Movement is an alternative political formation to the right, with them we spent five years of opposition to the Region and they represent an important slice of the electorate".
