The Court rejects the request of the 5 Star Movement: "Conte's election is illegitimate"
The former prime minister therefore has no choice but to resort to a new vote of the members

The Court of Naples rejected the request made by the 5 Star Movement to revoke the order to suspend the Statute and the appointment of the M5S president.
Judge Francesco Paolo Feo in rejecting the request set the hearing on the merits for April 5.
The new statute is therefore illegitimate, as is the appointment of Giuseppe Conte as president. All that remains for the former premier is the path of a new vote by the members.
This was also underlined by Lorenzo Borrè, lawyer of the three members of the Movement who presented the appeal against the election of Conte and against the Statute which led to the vote for the former Prime Minister in August 2021: "For the judges - he said - the election of Giuseppe Conte to the presidency of the 5 Star Movement is illegitimate ".
