Too many absences from the majority and the Regional Council meeting is cancelled . And while the opposition cries "shame," Campo Largo announces an audit.
The Reformists protested from the opposition: "The majority shouldn't unload its problems on the Regional Council. As vice president, I will speak with President Comandini to ensure this doesn't happen again," said Aldo Salaris . For Angelo Cocciu , FI group leader, "We understand that something wrong happened at the majority summit. The rift between the PD and the M5S is even wider, and today we saw the repercussions in the chamber."
Paolo Truzzu , FdI, clearly speaks of "a completely divided majority that only thinks about arguments and forgets the problems of Sardinia and the Sardinians." Alberto Urpi (Sardegna al Centro 20Venti) said: "The session was suspended again today, especially after the majority summit, which no longer constitutes a majority."
The majority, unable to secure a quorum, rejects the accusations. "During the last legislature," says Alessandro Solinas of the Five Star Movement, "we saw incidents like this on a daily basis. We reject the accusations. We, as the Five Star Movement, were present in the chamber; we will make a point with the majority to ensure it never happens again."
Among the items to be discussed in today's cancelled session was the airport departure tax: the opposition is calling for its complete abolition, while the majority is opting for a six-month suspension.
Meanwhile, the budget amendment will be approved by mid-June, only after the municipal elections. Budget Councilor Giuseppe Meloni stated: "We were planning to use the resources for structural interventions, but there are emergencies to address, particularly regarding freight transport. There are problems caused by both the ETS (Energy Services Tax) and the high cost of fuel."
