The region has drawn up the guidelines of the new territorial continuity regime which will start on May 15, 2022, at the end of the seven months of extraordinary assignment in force since October 16.

The Solinas Council has approved the resolution that establishes the main points of the new system, shared with the government and the Italian representation in Brussels.

Fixed prices for residents, single tariff for non-residents traveling for work and, after many years, the reintroduction of the so-called “minor continuity” for the destinations of Turin and Bologna.

"We are regaining some of the fundamental rights of the Sardinians", said President Solinas, underlining that "the new project will have a time horizon of two years, during which time there will be a careful monitoring of commercial supply and demand.

The new system, in addition to the classic routes connecting Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia with Rome and Milan, adds the Alghero-Bologna, Cagliari-Bologna and Cagliari-Turin connections.

Rates: for connections with Rome a maximum of 39 euros excluding taxes, for Milan and Bologna a maximum of 47, for Turin a maximum of 60 euros.

Again: disabled people, university students up to the age of 27, young people aged 2 to 21 and seniors over 70 are treated as residents in Sardinia. Children under the age of 2 travel for free if they do not occupy a seat. Among the novelties there is also a 30% reduction in rates for children from two to 12 years old.

Flights are mainly concentrated in the morning (from 7 to 9) and in the evening (from 18.30 to 22.30)
