A powerful and choral work, which in the collaboration between the de Carolis institution of Sassari and the Lirico institution of Cagliari brought five Sardinian singers to the stage of the Comunale. In Verdi's "Nabucco" the masses have an important space and it is no coincidence that the song that later became very famous "Va, pensiero" is entrusted to the choir. And the one prepared by maestro Antonio Costa earned the enthusiastic applause of the Teatro Comunale.

The opera season organized by the Sassari organization closed with a success, featuring one of the most popular operas. The repeat performance on Sunday (4.30pm) is already sold out, while for the one on Tuesday (8.30pm) there are still some tickets left.

Imposing stature and vocality for the Russian Anastasia Boldyreva, in the role of Abigaille. Five Sardinian singers in the cast. The Oristano baritone Marco Caria outlined a Nabucco of depth, also from an acting point of view. Applause also for the other Sardinian soloists in the cast: Gian Silvio Pinna (Ismaele), Marco Solinas (Priest of Belo), Mauro Secci (Abdallo), Vittoria Lai (Anna). Bass Ruben Amoretti played Zechariah, the great pontiff of the Jews, while mezzo-soprano Shay Bloch voiced Fenena, Nebuchadnezzar's daughter.

The orchestra of the de Carolis institution was conducted by Fabrizio Maria Carminati, while Leo Muscato's direction was taken up by Alessandra De Angelis.
