Precious and rare chamber music in the recital by the violinist Gennaro Cardaropoli and the pianist Alberto Ferro.

The appointment with the chamber duo is in Cagliari for Saturday 26 February (at 7 pm), in the fifth title on the bill for the 2022 concert season of the Teatro Lirico.

The protagonists are Cardaropoli from Salerno, one of the best young Italian talents of the moment, winner, first Italian, of the prestigious "Arthur Grumiaux" Competition and the Sicilian Ferro, emerging artist and young promise of European concert music, already winner of numerous international competitions.

The program includes a selection of chamber pieces ranging from the French, Italian and Polish atmospheres of the late nineteenth century by Fauré, Martucci and Wieniawski, to the Central European ones, but of Italian origin, of the early twentieth century by Respighi.

The musical program includes the performance of: Sonata n. 1 for violin and piano by Gabriel Fauré; Five Pieces for violin and piano P062: Humoresque by Ottorino Respighi; Sonata in G minor for violin and piano by Giuseppe Martucci; Thème original varié by Henryk Wieniawski.
