Terrantiga , the San Sperate company, gets several prizes at the international “Biomiel” competition.
A real exploit with the absolute first place obtained from eucalyptus honey , considered the best monoflor. Gold also for that of Corbezzolo , and the company also obtains four silvers for the honey of Asfodelo, Sulla, Lavanda Selvatica and Erica. For the wildflower category, Barbagia di Puddu Antonia beekeeping was placed third.
The international award for the best organic honey, in which companies from Greece, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain participate, awarded the companies of the island, which obtained 13 medals out of the 92 awarded .
The award ceremony took place in Matera with an international jury of experts.
Terrantiga is the only organization of producers in the beekeeping sector in Sardinia. He paved the way for organic beekeeping in Sardinia: "An important recognition, which pushes us to intensify our commitment, especially to spread the culture of honey - said Francesco Caboni , director of Terrantiga -, greater awareness on the part of consumers it can derive from a strategic alliance that we want to achieve with the world of great cuisine. In honey there is biodiversity, sustainability and territory, all the ingredients towards which our society today points its gaze ".
