The image of the wind turbines invading the Sardinian land , sculpted on the sand of the Platamona beach , designed by the Nuoro artist Nicola Urru on the sandy shore of the fifth comb of the Sorso coast .
In silence, among nature , the Sardinian people rebel . And the battle against wind speculation becomes increasingly fierce.
The issue at the center of a tough confrontation between the Sardinia Region and the national government . In just a few days, 10,000 signatures were collected, requested for the new popular initiative law “Pratobello 24” , which aims to regulate the installation of wind and photovoltaic systems on the island in order to protect the territory from their uncontrolled growth.
"After reaching the first milestone, the number of municipalities that are adhering to the initiative continues to grow exponentially," says sculptor Nicola Urru, "and finally the battle is coming to life." Sardinian citizens have the opportunity to sign inside municipal offices and at traveling stands that are set up in various cities on the island by committees for the defense of the territory.
