"Linfa Urbana" is a project that integrates public art, IoT sensors, urban data, digital twins, and urban data storytelling. The project was developed by the Mario Sironi Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari as part of the PNRR COM – City Open Museum program.

In a conference, professors Pietro Pirino and Marcello Cualbu explained the concept, objectives, and development phases of Linfa Urbana: a monumental LED sculpture designed and created by Artifact Studio , a firm specializing in design and innovation through the intersection of craftsmanship, technology, and robotics, under the supervision of architect Federico Rossi . The work interprets data collected from the city in real time, translating it into light, color, and movement.

A network of sensors installed in some of Sassari's main squares monitors parameters such as crowding, temperature, humidity, CO₂ concentration, ambient noise, and weather conditions. The information is processed and transformed into dynamic light configurations that provide an artistic representation of the city's "breathing," making normally invisible phenomena visible and offering a new way of interpreting urban space.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the workshop led by Marco Uras of WiData , who presented the Xplore platform, illustrating how the dashboard works, how to manage data from the sensor network, and the opportunities offered by integrating APIs into digital visualization and storytelling processes.
