Tennis: Musetti beats Djokovic in Montecarlo, writes history and tomorrow in the quarterfinals he will challenge Sinner

Not only is Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals of the Montecarlo Master 1000. The South Tyrolean gets there thanks to the success in three sets and a comeback over the Pole Hubert Hurkacz (3-6, 7-6, 6-1), Lorenzo Musetti instead wrote history by beating Novak Djokovic.

«I find it hard not to cry», commented Musetti: «It is the most important victory of my career, a dream».

In the round of 16, the Tuscan beat the No. 1 of the standings in a comeback with a score of 4-6, 7-5 6-4 in a match suspended for an hour due to the rain.

In the quarterfinals tomorrow Musetti will face Jannik Sinner.
