Lorenzo Carboni passes the qualifications and enters the Ferrero Challenger in Villena, an ATP100 hard court tournament with a prize pool of €145,250.
The 19-year-old from Alghero, number 445 in the world rankings and number 6 in the cadet draw, beat two Spanish tennis players: John Echeverria (646 ATP) 6-3, 7-5 in his debut and Alejandro Manzanera Pertusa (640) 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 in a comeback in the decisive round.
Today (fifth and final match on court 1, with the program starting at 11 am), Carboni will make his debut in the main draw against the British Oliver Crawford (184 ATP).
