Swimming World Championships: Benedetta Pilato takes bronze in the women's 50m breaststroke

Benedetta Pilato won the bronze in the 50m breaststroke at the Fukuoka World Swimming Championships.

The Italian finished in third place in 30''04 the final won by the Lithuanian Ruta Meilutyte, gold and world record with a time of 29''16. Silver for the American Lilly King.

«After a year like this, I deserve this medal», Pilato commented after the race.
