Five evenings with a work that brings together Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and Anton Chekhov's one-act play "Swan Song". Thanks to CeDac, the Balletto di Roma arrives in Sardinia with "Swan Lake, or Song" choreographed and directed by Fabrizio Monteverde.

These are the dates: Thursday 23 November and Friday 24 at the Teatro Verdi in Sassari (9pm) and Saturday and Sunday at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari with two evening shows at 8.30pm and the Sunday matinee at 4.30pm.

With a declared intellectual derivation from the Russian writer Checov, Monteverde's "Lake" finds its natural dramaturgical fulfillment in "Il Canto" and in a poignant journey of illusions and memory brings on stage a group of "elderly" dancers who, among the efforts of a vanished youth and the neurotic search for a happy ending, retrace the actions of a further, inevitable "Lago".

The main performers are the Cagliari dancer Carole Puddu, who studied in France and Canada, and Roberta De Simone, a permanent member of the Balletto ri Roma since 2009.
