Price increases for rental sunbeds and umbrellas on the beaches of Italian regions, including Sardinia.

It was launched by Codacons , according to which today a day at the beach already costs between 30% and 40% more than in 2019 and which warns of further possible increases in view of next summer.

Last year, based on data from the consumer protection association, the average expense for an umbrella and two sunbeds during the weekend was between 30 and 35 euros per day, but in some places on the island it reached reaching even 60 euros , not counting 120 euros in high-level facilities.

As regards the "luxury" structures - underlines Codacons - the daily expense is around 500 euros per day, in case you want to rent huts or tents on the beach on the Costa Smeralda , as well as in Forte dei Marmi and the Lido of Venice .

The highest prices, according to the association, are those of the "Arab tent" of the "Twiga" (up to 600 euros) and over a thousand euros for the first row at "Le Cinque Vele Beach Club" in Marina di Pescoluse.

But, as mentioned, a few weeks before the start of the summer season, Codacons issued a new alert on "possible increases of up to 50% for the rates applied by Italian beaches as a consequence of increases in the prices of beach concessions".
