An even richer program of events for the fair “Il Sulcis Iglesiente Espone”, edition number 29, scheduled for 7 and 8 June 2025 in Carbonia on the initiative of the Consorzio Fieristico Sulcitano . As stated in a press release, «the anticipation is growing for the event dedicated to craftsmanship, agri-food and tourism, organized by the Consorzio Fieristico Sulcitano, with over 300 exhibitors from all over Sardinia, who will show the excellence of the local artisan and gastronomic tradition».
"We wanted to reciprocate the enthusiasm of the tens of thousands of people who participate in the event every year", says the president of the Sulcitano Fair Consortium Mauro De Sanctis, "and thanks to the concrete support of the regional department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, the Fondazione di Sardegna and the Municipality of Carbonia, with the department of Productive Activities led by Deputy Mayor Michele Stivaletta at the forefront, we believe we have put together a program that once again will not disappoint expectations. The most prestigious and attractive name is certainly that of Al Bano, but over the course of the two days there will be several shows featuring Sardinian artists who have now established themselves at a national level as well".
Al Bano , one of the most famous and appreciated Italian singer-songwriters in the world with over 25 million records sold, 26 gold records and 24 platinum records, will perform in Piazza Roma on June 7, the opening day of "Il Sulcis Iglesiente Espone", at 10 pm. The first day of the Fair will begin at 4 pm with the opening of the exhibition stands, games for children and the opening of the refreshment points. At 6 pm, in Piazza del Minatore, the baptism with the saddle by the ASD Meurreddus of Andrea Locci of San Giovanni Suergiu. At 7 pm, in Piazza Roma, the show cooking curated by chef Pier Paolo Argiolu "Cozzina" . At 7:30 pm, in Piazza Roma, the official inauguration of the Fair with the civil authorities and the Fanfara dei Bersaglieri .
The second day, Sunday 8 June, at 10 am, will open in Piazza Roma with the Vintage Car Show curated by the Circolo sardo Automoto d'Epoca SCQ. The evening will be packed with entertainment events. At 6 pm, in Piazza Roma, the gathering of folk groups and the baptism of the Sella; at 6:15 pm the launeddas players group “Sonos an tigos” by maestro Franco Melis from Tuili; at 6:30 pm, in Piazza Roma, the concert “ Let's not stop tradition” with Ambra Pintore, accompanied by Roberto Scala on bass, Diego Milia on violin and sax, Massimo Satta on guitar. Buju Mannu + Di Mister Tei quartet formed by Orlando and Eliseo Maxia launeddas and percussion, Bruno and Asael Camedda .

At 7:30 pm, in Piazza Roma, the highly anticipated Ballu tundu , in an edition that promises to be a record-breaking one. Finally, at 10:00 pm, still in Piazza Roma, the concert of the singer-songwriter Cristina Fois and the comedy show of the cabaret artist Alessandro Pili, the “Mayor of Scraffingiu”.
