Suitable areas, Meloni summons governor Todde to Rome. The renewables issue reignites. The president of the Region Alessandra Todde will soon show up at Palazzo Chigi to participate in one of the next sessions of the Council of Ministers in which energy issues will be discussed. It is not yet known when, but the governor herself announced it yesterday, from the stage of the Eliseo theater in Nuoro , where the Sardinian M5S Festival is underway: "I am proud to have raised the conflicts of attribution," said Todde. "We have created an extraordinary Council on this, because for too long Sardinia has avoided taking its place. We are a Region with a special statute, we have constitutional rank, but it is not tolerable that a ministry allows itself to say that a Sardinian law is not applicable. So the importance is also to make it clear that we want to be Sardinians who take their destiny, their region and their land into their own hands."
The announcement. The governor recalled: «We have never shied away from dialogue, as was also seen in our interactions with the Ministry of the Environment, both with regard to the Energy decree, both with regard to gas, both with regard to parks. The issue is that when a ministry writes that it does not want to apply a law in force in a Region with autonomous statute, I remind you that our rules do not have constitutional rank but it is intolerable . They want to make it clear that Sardinians are second-class citizens, and we do not agree».
Conflict of attribution. The announcement comes the day after the Region's decision to appeal to the Consulta for the authorizations issued by the Ministry of the Environment for three different agrivoltaic plants in the Oristano area. "I was summoned by President Meloni to the Council of Ministers, precisely regarding Law 20, the Sardinian law on suitable areas, after having raised the conflict of attribution before the Constitutional Court. "I think it was important to have raised our heads: we made it clear that we are going all the way on this issue."
Complaint. Meanwhile, the Scientific Committee “Insularity in the Constitution” has filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sardinia to request the opening of investigations to ascertain any criminal liability for serious and irreversible damage caused to the Sardinian territory. Tomorrow at 5 pm, in the Tirso 1 room of the Hotel Palazzo Tirso in Cagliari, the situation will be reviewed with the promoters of the initiative. It is no coincidence that Maria Antonietta Mongiu, Rita Dedola, Giovanni Barroccu, Giuseppe Biggio, Gianvalerio Sanna, Nicolò Migheli, Franco Masala and Gianni Marilotti will speak at the meeting. The national decrees that impose over 6 thousand MW of production on the Island without planning or involvement of the communities are under accusation. The committee has requested the opening of investigations for environmental disaster and damage to the landscape heritage in order to ascertain any criminal liability.
