There are those who have chosen to greet 2023 by visiting the "Giovanni Antonio Sanna" National Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Sassari. Already at lunchtime there were about a hundred signatures in the visitors' book, demonstrating how much the initiative of maintaining the free Sunday opening (until 19.30) is welcome, even on New Year's Day.

Reopened in August after six years of work, the museum directed by Elisabetta Grassi is proposed in a more streamlined, modern, airy, accessible and even captivating guise. For example, the subdivision into historical periods is underlined by the different colors in the explanatory panels and large vertical banners: green for the Nuragic period and dark red for the Romanesque one, just to give a couple of examples. From the Lower Paleolithic to the Middle Ages, passing through the Nuragic civilization and the Roman era, the layout offers fewer finds but a more attractive visual impact for young people and a pleasant surprise even for those who have frequented the "Sanna" Museum in recent decades.

Another surprise was the thirty visitors on the evening of the 31st, a few hours before the New Year's Eve dinner, despite the fact that the ticket was paid, even if it should be noted that until yesterday the exhibition curated by the stylist Antonio Marras "On the trail of Clemente" could also be visited.
