From 1 January 2022 the new "digital call" becomes operational, which means goodbye to paper in public tenders and in the assignment of services and supplies by the Public Administration. Its validity concerns all competitions.

"This decision - explains Giuseppe Busia, president of the National Anti-Corruption Authority - marks an important step in the modernization of the public procurement system in Italy and in the digitization of procedures. greater quality and efficiency of the activity of contracting authorities. The digital call will support the access of small and medium-sized enterprises to the market, thanks to the dissemination of information and a more adequate timing, and will ensure greater transparency of public documents and publicity of tenders ".

The telematic procedure will serve not only to reduce time and costs for administrations but will ensure greater transparency in the award procedures through the traceability of operations.

The standard tender concerns the award of services and supplies in ordinary sectors, for an amount equal to or greater than the Community threshold (set according to the different services), awarded with the criterion of the most economically advantageous offer according to the best quality ratio. /price.

"The digital tender - adds Busia - is added to the single database of contracts that Anac manages, and which becomes the key tool in the preventive control of contracts envisaged by the Next Generation Eu". Any anomalies are reported in real time: "If a company does not have all the credentials to participate in a tender, we know it immediately, the system detects it" and "the same company can know it because the platform, in the name transparency, is open to all, even citizens will be able to question it. So we don't wait for the problem to come out, triggering litigation, delays and costs. We speak immediately with the company, we help it to comply. To everyone's advantage ".
